Captain's View

This one-bedroom apartment sits in the centre of Appledore, close enough to the quayside, shops, pubs and galleries that a car can be left parked for the duration of a stay. It sleeps two, making it a compact base for a couple wanting to explore North Devon without relying on driving from door to door.

The open-plan lounge and diner has ample seating, a sofa bed for occasional extra use, and a dining area with views across the Rivers Torridge and Taw towards Instow and Crow Point. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven and hob, microwave, a Nespresso coffee machine, a fridge with ice compartment and a washing machine. The double bedroom has its own flat-screen TV, and a separate shower room with power shower and WC completes the accommodation.

Outside, guests have use of a shared patio area with seating and a washing line, rather than a private garden. Wi-Fi is included throughout the stay, along with a Smart TV with DVD player in the lounge and a small television in the bedroom. A travel cot and highchair are available, which suits families travelling with a young child even though the property itself is arranged for two adults.

There is no dedicated parking at the apartment; roadside parking can be found nearby, and a public car park is available subject to availability with charges applying. Dogs are not permitted. Arrival is from 14:30 and departure is before 10:00, and during the festive period the apartment is decorated for Christmas.
