The Lookout

The Lookout stands in East Prawle, a South Devon village within the National Landscape, with a pub reported to be less than 100 metres from the door and a seasonal cafe and shop on the village green. The coast path leads towards Lannacombe Beach, roughly 3.5 miles away, while East Portlemouth is about 3 miles distant, with a passenger ferry crossing to Salcombe. The whitewashed exterior opens into a traditionally furnished interior, with original floorboards, wood-panelled ceilings and oak furnishings throughout, plus a garage offering space to store equipment.

On the lower ground floor sits a double bedroom with an ensuite shower room and ample storage. Upstairs, the open-plan living space is arranged around a wood burner, with a first basket of logs supplied, and sliding doors lead onto a balcony fitted with bar-style stool seating and distant sea views. The galley kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave and dishwasher, positioned near a dining table and a seating area with two sofas and a Smart TV.

Along the first floor hallway are a further double bedroom with wardrobe space and a single room housing a 3ft bed with an optional trundle, suiting two children. A family bathroom with a bath and WC completes this floor, and a utility area in the garage holds a washing machine, dryer, fridge and freezer.

Parking is on-street rather than on a private driveway. One dog is permitted, and additional charges may apply. The property has internet access, and towels are included in the stay. Arrival is from 16:00, with departure required before 10:00. The cottage sleeps six across its three bedrooms and three bathrooms, making it suited to a family or group wanting easy access to the South West Coast Path and the surrounding coastline.
