Seaview Cottage

Part of a Victorian terrace on the edge of Mortehoe, this two-bedroom cottage looks out over open sea towards Lundy Island from the front, with National Trust hillside rising behind. Set back from the road, the property is reached via a driveway leading to private parking for one car and a front viewing deck. A pub and shop are both less than half a mile away, and coastal walking paths begin directly from the door.

The lounge features exposed brickwork around an inglenook fireplace housing a wood burner, a bay window and wooden floors. An open-plan dining area connects to the kitchen, which is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, air-fryer and a combined washer-dryer. Upstairs, both the double and twin bedrooms have storage and views from their windows. The single bathroom has a roll-top bath with shower over bath, a heated towel rail and a WC.

A furnished front patio faces the sea, while a rear courtyard offers additional privacy with its own seating. Fast fibre Wi-Fi, a TV and DVD player are included. A travel cot and highchair are provided, making the cottage practical for families. Up to three dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply.

The wood burner's first basket of logs is included between December and February; logs are available to buy locally at other times. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure is before 10:00.
