6 Milton Place

6 Milton Place is a terraced cottage in the centre of Bideford, on a residential street of uniquely coloured cottages with roadside parking on a first-come, first-served basis. A woodburning stove warms the sitting room, and a separate dining room and kitchen with black marble countertops complete the ground floor.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, a microwave, an American-style fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Upstairs, via a split-level and fairly steep staircase, are three bedrooms: a king-size, a double, and a single with a trundle bed underneath, sharing a bathroom with a bath and a walk-in shower. A highchair and travel cot are available on request.

The rear garden has a lawn, decking and furniture for outdoor time, and there's an external games room for younger guests on rainy days. One well-behaved dog is welcome, and the owner may accept a second by arrangement, with an extra charge. The cottage is strictly no smoking.

The stairs are steep, so the property may not suit anyone with limited mobility, and check-in is only available on Saturdays. The shop is 0.1 miles away and the pub 0.2 miles, with gas central heating and fuel and power included in the rent.
